Human Weakness

This painting alludes to the deep and natural weakness of humankind. There is an analogy between the bitten apple held in the left hand, representing sin or wrongdoing, and the apple tree on the right, representing temptation. Finally, the bitten apples thrown to the ground represent repentance and regret. All of this symbolizes a vicious cycle that we endlessly repeat and from which we must break free.
